Is AES' teaching system customised to tailor for each individual student ? Yes. AES tutors understand the many different ways that students learn and how best to adjust their teaching style to suit them.
What is the teacher-to-student ratio?
At AES our teacher-to-student ratio is always one-to-one*. We have found one-to-one teaching to be much more effective than group settings.
*Unless a small group has been arranged by you.
What percentage of the time is the tutor actually with the student?
AES tutors are with their students virtually 100% of the time during their sessions.
Where is the tutoring done?
All tutoring is done in your own home or a negotiated location, such as a local library. This should be the place most convenient for student and parents, and allows for fewer distractions.
Do you personally interview and train every tutor?
Yes. AES tutors have a strict recruitment process. Every tutor is fully trained and tested on all aspects of our teaching and learning processes and our unique key learning strategies.
What certification, training and experience do your tutors have?
Most of AES tutors are university or college graduates or students, some with Masters or PhD degrees in their respective fields. They are all experienced and have fulfilled all requirements to become accredited tutors. Through experience we have found that a particular degree does not always equate to best tutor. We evaulate our tutors suitability to be effective tutors based on their perosnal experience, understanding of teaching and learning principals and personality.
If I have questions or concerns, who do I deal with?
Our dedication to customer service is absolute. If you have a question or concern that cannot be answered by your tutor, you will receive a call, usually within the same day, by a senior employee of AES tutors.
